Painful Event
Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 10:43 am | In Life |
I would like to thank Isagani for inspiring me to post another entry this week and expecting me to send a reply regarding his question, to wit:
Which of the following do you consider as the most painful event?
1. Not seeing your love one on the day of your wedding, that is being stood up
2. Not seeing your love one before he/she dies
3. Not seeing your love one before you die
4. Suppose that life after death is true, not seeing your love one attend your funeral
Technically speaking, I would like to choose number one. This is total embarrassment for me and my family. I would rather feel anger instead of pain because of what happened. Needless to say, I can proudly say that I can bear whatever pain that God will give to me because I trust that He will not do anything to harm his child, just like a kind parent would do.
But you know, if you will ask me based on my faith, the most painful event in my life is the day when God totally rejected and abandoned me. Because without God, I cannot do anything, especially this blog post.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I beg to dis-agree (wow!) but the worst embarrassment doesn’t have to be most painful event. But this is your blog, and that was your opinion. ehehehe.. pero panalo to:
“Because without God, I cannot do anything, especially this blog post.”

Actually, the most painful event for me would be not to see my loved one before he/she dies. If I am the one who dies, then I have little time to feel pain. If my loved one did not attend my funeral, could be because he/she is suffering too much. The first option you describe (and agree with first post) I think is especially an embarrasing situation (also painful, but especially embarrasing). The most painful event for me would be not to be able to say good bye to your loved one.
