Mechanics

I. The contest is open to all amateur bands residing in Metro Manila.
II. All band members must be at least16 years old above.
III. Bands must have a verified 88DB account and ad profile of their band.

Registration

1.) Log in to www.88db.com and register as member. Please verify your account.
2.) After registration and verification of 88DB account, create the band profile in the MUSIC
     Category under Online Battle of the Bands sub-category.
3.) Band profiles must contain the following to be eligible for the contest:

a.) Band Name
b.) Contact infos: cell phone number, email address
c.) Band profile and background containing: Band members, Date the band was  formed,       influences, genre etc.
d.) At least 3 pictures your band
e.) At least 2 embedded videos of studio or gig performances from video  streaming sites       (youtube.com, dailymotion.com, megavideo.com, vidiac.com)
*note: we strongly suggest that the audio of your band’s video is clear so we can all enjoy       it and get more votes.
f.) The band’s gig schedules (optional)

4.) Registration starts Feb 1, 2008 and ends March 14, 2008 (12nn)

Contest Proper

Winners will be determined by the number of votes. To vote, register first as member of 88DB.com. Once registered, log on to the site. Go to 88DB Online Battle of the Band under the Music category and cast your vote in the ad profile of your chosen band. Please be reminded that you can only vote in 88DB.com.

For The Finals

The top 3 bands will emerge as the winners and will be performing live in the Victory Party on April 18, 2008 in Tiendesitas, Pasig City with Taken By Cars, Sino Sikat? and The Dawn.

P10,000 awaits the band with the most number of votes
P8,000 will be given to the band with the 2nd most number of votes.
And P6,000 to the band with the 3rd most number of votes.

All entries that contain fake information and copyrighted material will be automatically disqualified.

Tsikot.com, the largest online automotive community in the Philippines, in partnership with the Gate Arcade brings to Taytay, Rizal its first ever Car Show entitled “Tsikot Autofest ” on February 23, 2008, Saturday.

The fun-filled affair is a three-in-one extravaganza featuring a Car Show, Bikini Fashion Show and Tsikot.com’s First Grand Eyeball (EB) for 2008. This will all happen in the only real “Gimmick Place” in Taytay, the Gate Arcade loceated at the Baltao Compound, Ortigas Extension, Taytay, Rizal.

The Car Show, to start at 9:00 in the morning, will showcase the best and brightest cars of the different car clubs, professional auto-detailers and car enthusiasts from the province and from all over.

The Tsikot Grand Eyeball Party, the first in the series for 2008, starts at six in the evening and will feature several highlights: a one-of-a-kind Bikini Fashion Show to usher in the summer season, the awarding of special prizes and recognition to the winners of the car show and the launching of the Tsikot Discount Card. The EB Party is also held in celebration for the community achieving 40,000 plus members all over the country and the world.

The following will be the major awards for the winners of the car show: Best Car of the Show, Best in Stock, Best in Paint (1st, 2nd, 3^rd placers), Best Sound Set-up (1st, 2nd, 3^rd placers), Best in Engine Display, Best in Interior (1st, 2nd, 3^rd placers), Best Car Presentation, Best in Graphics (airbrush, vinyl, sticker) and Best in Body Kits (1st, 2nd, 3^rd placers).

A handful of minor awards will also be given to the best car in the different brands, Best SUV, Best in JDM, EU and US, Lowest Ride and Best Car Club (or the club with the most number of attending members)

First of all, I would like to thank Chuckster for starting a group called WordPress Pinoys, to describe:

Our first major discussion is about the possible upcoming eye-ball this September 1, 2007, 10AM, at The World Trade Center in Pasay City, Metro Manila. This eye-ball event will be held simultaneously by an event called Manila International Book Fair. So… expect something very big, as in very big.

So, the only question left is… what are your suggestions regarding the following event? My inputs are the following:

• Picnic tayo after ng eye-ball event! Pero dapat may pagkain na dala kayo or something, o kaya magdadala ako ng food pack. If you want guys, bayaran nyo na lang ako ng P50 para sa food and drinks, with free desert na rin as a freebie kung sakali. (rumaket pa talaga)
  • Men: Rice + Adobong Manok + Saging/Cake/Choco-nut/Candy (fixed selection, hehe)
  • UPDATE – Sagot ata ni Ninong Selvo pagkain natin kasi na feature blog niya sa ABS-CBN, hehe
• Masyadong malaki ang World Trade Center kaya maglagay tayo banner or cartolina na may nakasulat na, WORDPRESS PINOYS. Most probably, baka sa entrance nyo na rin ito makita or sa isang booth na kokomisyunin natin, you know naman yung scene pag may sinusundo sa airport/seaport diba? Parang ganun.
• Magdala rin kayo ng sufficient amount of money para mabili ninyo yung gusto ninyong libro, malay nyo, mas makamura kayo sa event na iyon diba.
• Bring those digi-cams, videocams, spycams, cellphone w/ cams, etc para ma capture ang mga moments natin.
